In 2018, the creative advocacy groups at AIMS undertook an animation based project spanning one-off art days, one-to-one making and ongoing group work. We had the opportunity to explore various different ways of making animations using drawing, sound, body and objects.
We used the medium of animation to explore the experiences and challenges that people living with long term mental health conditions can go through on a day to day basis. Each animation tells its own story.
These works were displayed as part of AIMS Advocacy’s 21st birthday exhibition in May 2018 at The Portal in Irvine.
